Ice Cube Movie Friday

Chris Tucker and Ice Cube star in the highly referenced black movie Friday. This movie is one that helped to boost Ice Cube to even more fame in addition to his music. Friday is based on two friends having an unbelievable Friday in their neighborhood. To start the story off we get introduced to Ice Cube’s character Craig’s family and see the hilarious interactions they share with each other. As the movie progresses we learn that Craig has lost his job due to getting spotted stealing boxes and his parents pressure him to find another job in a hurry. His father offers to let Craig work with him on his dog catcher route but Craig refuses. Chris Tucker plays the part of Craigs pot loving friend Smokey and this character is bent on getting his best friend Craig High that day because of his lack of a job but to make matters bad for the tow friend’s what they ended up smoking belonged to a drug dealer that Smokey owed money to. The rest of the story follows their day and the troubles they get into while attempting to do anything they can in order to get the money to pay the dealer off.

The Movie Friday is rated R because of the strong language that is used in the film as well as the fight scene at the end between the characters of Craig and Debo. Chris Tucker and Ice Cube give very good performances in this movie and the movie is a creative take on life in the hood. This is a movie that is a good laugh as well as one that has a very good ending. As the movie progresses we are introduced to a variety of different characters and situations that the two friends get into making it one of the most interesting Fridays that anyone could have.
